on March 12 at Brown Elementary School,
will NOT be held. A new meeting date and time will be publicized on this website, and with signs, flyers and e-mail messages as details on date, time and location are finalized. |
Comprehensive Planning Underway
This project began in September 2012 and is being managed by the Franklin County Economic Development & Planning Department. Brown Township residents, officials and Franklin County planners are developing a land use plan for unincorporated Brown Township. Franklin County planners are meeting with a working committee composed of township residents, business owners, developers and others. This committee helps review public input and provides detailed feedback to the planners during the planning process. Several public meetings are scheduled to gather public input and comments about the direction and content of the plan. Meetings are publicaly advertised with road signs throughout the township, mailbox flyers and other announcements. Franklin County planners have set up a public website where township residents and other stakeholders can download plan documents, meeting materials and presentations. | Block Watch Organized | | The Brown Township Trustees hosted a Neighborhood Watch Program meeting in conjunction with the Franklin County Sheriff Community Programs division on November 18, 2010. A Franklin County Sherriff Officer presented a two hour session and distributed materials regarding establishing a Neighborhood Watch Program. He also shared preventative practices and services available to help fight crime. At the officers' request, the Trustees urge you to participate and help make this program more successful!
